I am Mandy Dodds, a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience working for the NHS. I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Science, an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate of Competence in Teaching Mindfulness Based Courses.
I have an interest in diagnostic assessment and post diagnostic support for adults who have an autism spectrum condition (ASC).
In addition to diagnostic assessment, I offer consultation and supervision to other professionals on diagnosis and how best to adapt treatment interventions for people with autism. I am familiar with the broad range of presentations autistic people display, this includes masking, differences in male and female presentations as well as those questioning their gender identity.
Additionally, I have extensive experience in community mental health teams offering assessment and therapy for a broad range of mental health conditions. This experience allows me to consider differential diagnoses, co-occurring conditions and to offer you a holistic assessment with helpful recommendations.
